Is This Love

In about four months (113 days…not that I’m counting), I will be boarding a plane to New York City. This will be the start of my four month journey to Europe. I am very lucky that my mom and Ralph will be accompanying me to Europe to help me get settled in before the start of the semester. We will be travelling to New York City, Edinburgh, Dublin, London, then back to Edinburgh (in that order).

I feel as though this trip becomes more realistic each and every day. It started off as a dream, something I had always wanted to do. As I started college, my dream of studying abroad became reality. Deciding on a country to visit was not terribly hard. I knew I wanted an English speaking country, even though I have five years of French under my belt (c’est très bon, je pense). I’ve always been intrigued by the United Kingdom. It seemed like the perfect location for me. It is so close to a wide range of other countries, and yet it can still offer its own taste of culture…from the haggis to the kilts to the whiskey. I look forward to soaking in every minute of my experience abroad, and can’t wait to share it with you via this blog!
